Hanging baskets

the best way to grow veggies, herbs and flowers

Tips for growing beautiful hanging baskets

What to grow in your hanging baskets:

Beautiful and colourful
flowering plants are not the only type of plants you can grow in your baskets.

With The Long Lasting "Eco" Hanging Basket Liners
your baskets won't need to be potted
for a long time, unless you want to of course. So why not put plants that are will last for years.
I had a customer who told me her family had a special fern that was over a 100 years old, and it was passed down from generation to generation with great pride.

Suggestions:
  • When you re-pot your baskets, using  The Long Lasting "Eco" Hanging Basket Liners . Before you put the soil into the basket,  wet some newspaper and mould it into the basket on top of the liner. This is the best method of helping to retain the water without causing any stagnation.

I like to use a mixture of

  1. 5 parts potting mix
  2. 5 parts Peat moss
  3. 2 parts Vermiculite
  4. 3 parts Perlite
  5. 3 parts mulch or compost
in my baskets, this keeps the baskets light weight and helps hold the moisture. You can use a wetting agent  if you want to.
